Hernandez is suffering from a left ankle sprain and on the season he is 4-3
with two saves and a 3.29 earned run average over 33 appearances this season,

To take his spot on the roster, the team has recalled righty Armando Gabino
from Triple-A Norfolk. He is 7-0 with two saves and a 2.12 ERA over 27 games,
including seven starts, with the Tides this season.

Although the Golden Bears are listed as 7.5-point favorites, the Sun Devils are 3-0, lead the nation in sacks with 18 and possess the Pac-10's leading passer in sophomore quarterback Rudy Carpenter.
